Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) is a severe zoonotic disease primarily transmitted by infected ticks or direct contact with blood/tissues from infected animals. Livestock can carry the virus without symptoms, making early detection and prevention challenging. As there is no widely available vaccine or specific antiviral treatment, prevention focuses on surveillance, tick control, and effective risk communication.
To strengthen preparedness and response, FAO is organizing a global webinar. This event will provide key stakeholders and frontline professionals with up-to-date knowledge on CCHF epidemiology, risk factors, and practical recommendations for early detection, tick control, and risk mitigation, all within a One Health framework. For more information, visit: FAO Global Webinar on CCHF.
