Setting Standards for Nutritionally Optimal School Meals: From Evidence to Commitment

Each representative held an empty FAO canteen tray, symbolizing the existing gaps in school meal nutrition, as they discussed their next steps.

Lesotho Aprende de Perú: Papa, Laboratorios y Cooperativas para la Seguridad Alimentaria

Una delegación de Lesotho visitó Huancayo, Perú, para explorar el potencial transformador de la papa, en el marco de la iniciativa Un País, Un Producto Prioritario (OCOP) y la Cooperación Sur-Sur de la FAO. Access to land is crucial for rural women in Rwanda to secure livelihoods and support their families. Despite a legal framework that guarantees equal inheritance rights, cultural beliefs and a lack of awareness often hinder women from claiming these rights.

Anastasie Uwitije, a 57-year-old farmer from Ngoma District, illustrates this challenge. By understanding inheritance law, she was able to secure her rightful place on her family’s land, showcasing the importance of legal knowledge in empowering women.
