The inaugural Sustainable Economy Forum recently convened in Algiers.
This significant event aimed to foster discussions and initiatives, embodying its core message: "Let's build the world we want to live in."
Messaouda Mohamed Laghdaf, Mauritania's Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, joined Justine Lumumba Kasule, Uganda's Minister of General Affairs and ARFSD Chair, and Mohamadou Abdoulaye, CILSS Secretary General, to discuss Africa's strategies for confronting upcoming climate risks.
Maessama Cherhabil provided the introduction, with Zoubir Benhamouche moderating the discussion.
Oil and Gas experts are debating the sustainable provision of accessible energy. This crucial discussion focuses on how to meet future energy demands responsibly.
Key participants include Abdelmadjid Attar (Former Energy Minister of Algeria), Warren Murdoch (Oxy Algeria CEO), Fouad Saoudi (HSE Central Director at Sonatrach), Youcef Khanfar (Renewables Central Director at Sonatrach), and Larbi Bouziane (Gas assets Director at TotalEnergies Algeria).
