The Salzburg Global Seminar, "Optimizing Talent: Closing Educational and Social Mobility Gaps Worldwide" (Dec. 2011), convened 63 participants from 24 countries. Their collective aim was to identify strategies for ensuring quality education is accessible to everyone.
Betty Mould Iddrisu, Ghana's Minister of Education, presented at the Salzburg Global Seminar in December 2011. Her talk, "Optimizing Talent: Closing Educational and Social Mobility Gaps Worldwide," highlighted education's critical importance to society.
She detailed Ghana's extensive reforms to provide quality education for all. Key initiatives include replacing approximately 5,000 "schools under trees" with permanent solutions, deploying quality teachers to rural areas, and ensuring equal educational opportunities for girls and boys.
