Drawing from Eastern wisdom and Western science, Peter Russell, with degrees in theoretical physics, experimental psychology, and computer science from Cambridge, applies a sharp, critical mind to self-awakening. He asserts that humanity's next great frontier is inner space – the development of the human mind – addressing profound questions about non-duality, consciousness, and reality.

Russell has authored ten books, including *The Global Brain Awakens* and *From Science to God: A Physicist’s Journey into the Mystery of Consciousness*, synthesizing scientific rationale with intuitive wisdom.

Jonathan Rowson on Spirituality

Jonathan Rowson, director of the Social Brain Centre at the Royal Society of Arts, highlights the problematic nature of the word 'spiritual.' It means too much to some and too little to others, leading to diverse interpretations—from psychological depth to philosophical confusion, or a critique of materialism to capitalist exploitation.

Following a two-year RSA inquiry, Dr. Rowson proposes a framework for a post-religious spirituality. This initiative seeks to make the spiritual less nebulous while maintaining its inclusive ambiguity.

The new framework redefines four existential touchstones: Love (from romance to rootedness), Death (from denial to confrontation), Self (from esteem to transcendence), and Soul (from substance to perspective).

The workshop is presented by Douglas Worts, Culture and Sustainability Specialist at World Views Consulting (douglasworts.org), and Dr. Lynne Teather, Professor in the Master of Museum Studies Program at the University of Toronto.
