System transformation begins by mapping key leverage points for change. Discover how Nike and Health Care Without Harm are driving significant improvements. Nike is eliminating hazardous chemical discharge from its supply chain by 2020, while Health Care Without Harm has built a collaborative network of 450 organizations across 52 countries to transform the healthcare industry. Both initiatives aim to enhance environmental and health outcomes, alongside their bottom lines.
These insights were shared at the Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship, which unites leading social entrepreneurs with essential partners to accelerate learning, leverage, and large-scale social change.
The "Future of Sustainability 2020" webinar, held on July 22, 2020, explored whether COVID-19 accelerated or challenged the transition to a sustainable future. The crisis, devastating lives and economies—particularly informal ones—also presented a historic opportunity to reimagine how we rebuild.
Forum for the Future urged businesses, governments, and communities to create a more just, sustainable, and resilient world. Drawing on annual research, they highlighted the "Transform" trajectory as the sole path to achieve these systems. This approach recognizes interdependent challenges, aiming to shift political, economic, and social systems for human and planetary health, justice, and economic resilience. Now is the time for this transformative change.

This video presents four core principles for achieving sustainability, often called the 'conditions of success.' These principles have been peer-reviewed and continuously refined over the last two decades, building on the foundational work of Dr. Karl-Henrik Robèrt and The Natural Step.
The series, Sustainability Illustrated, is a YouTube channel created by Alexandre Magnin.
Individual sustainability is a crucial, yet often overlooked, aspect of broader sustainability discussions. It involves cultivating harmony, interconnection, and high self-awareness across one's values, thoughts, and behaviors.
This includes maintaining increasing control over one's physical, emotional, social, philosophical, environmental, and intellectual well-being. Key skills for individual sustainability are awareness, motivation, and intentional self-development, coupled with a value system that recognizes the interconnectedness of all global biological systems and humanity's appropriate place in the natural world.
This presentation was first published in 2013 by Kat McDearis and Eric Pappas.
