This video highlights an FAO/WFP training workshop in Rome, where delegates from ten countries committed to enhancing the nutritional quality of school meals. Each representative held an empty FAO canteen tray, symbolizing the existing gaps in school meal nutrition, as they discussed their next steps.

Supported by the German Federal Ministry of Agriculture, the workshop introduced a new methodology for addressing children's food and nutrition issues. FAO and WFP aim to help countries design school meals that improve children's diet quality and well-being. Learn more about FAO's initiatives on school meals and nutrition at FAO.
