About This Collection

Founder Kenny Ausubel coined the term Bioneers in 1990 to describe an emerging culture. Bioneers are social and scientific innovators from all walks of life and disciplines who have peered deep into the heart of living systems to understand how nature operates, and to mimic "nature's operating instructions" to serve human ends without harming the web of life.

The Bioneers Conference is a leading-edge forum presenting breakthrough solutions for people and planet. Check out Bioneers on YouTube.

Casey Camp-Horinek's Walking the Red Road

Casey, a respected activist for Indigenous rights, women's leadership, and the "Rights of Nature" movement, explores Indigenous perspectives on humanity's relationship with the natural world. She shares ancestral wisdom for harmoniously interacting with Earth, Air, Water, and Fire.

This talk highlights sophisticated traditional Indigenous land, water, and fire stewardship strategies. These methods, now being "rediscovered" by contemporary managers, offer crucial lessons for addressing the climate crisis.

Originally delivered as a keynote at the 2024 Bioneers Conference, other talks can be found at www.bioneers.org.
