Salzburg Global Seminar
The mission of the Salzburg Global Seminar is to challenge present and future leaders to solve issues of global concern. It convenes imaginative thinkers from different cultures and institutions, organizes problem-focused initiatives, supports leadership development, and engages opinion-makers through active communication networks, all in partnership with leading institutions from around the world and across different sectors of society.
The Salzburg Global Seminar seeks to magnify the impact of individuals and institutions that bring just and humane values to bear on the global challenges facing their societies and the world and is an an independent, non-governmental organization with a Board of Directors drawn from diverse regions, backgrounds and fields of expertise.

Education is Everything, Education is Life! by Betty Iddrisu |
Betty Mould Iddrisu, Ghana's Minister of Education, presented at the Salzburg Global Seminar in December 2011. Her talk, "Optimizing Talent: Closing Educational and Social Mobility Gaps Worldwide," highlighted education's critical importance to society. She detailed Ghana's extensive reforms to provide quality education for all. Key initiatives include replacing approximately 5,000 "schools under trees" with permanent solutions, deploying quality teachers to rural areas, and ensuring equal educational opportunities for girls and boys.
