{"id":679,"date":"2011-08-02T02:26:13","date_gmt":"2011-08-02T02:26:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/?p=679"},"modified":"2011-08-02T17:43:37","modified_gmt":"2011-08-02T17:43:37","slug":"sustainability-measures-are-expensive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/?p=679","title":{"rendered":"Sustainability Measures are Expensive and For Good Reason"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Financial Times Link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/cms\/s\/0\/90410e28-bc54-11e0-acb6-00144feabdc0.html#ixzz1TpiOGUg0\" target=\"_blank\">From the Financial Times (FT)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>British industry has reached a \u201ctipping point\u201d where the burden imposed by energy and climate change policies will begin to jeopardise jobs and investment, according to the EEF manufacturers\u2019 association.<\/p>\n<p>Oh boy.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, it&#8217;s going to be expensive. Energy and climate change &#8220;measures&#8221;  are going to be costly to both companies and individuals. Governments  are starting to estimate the &#8220;burden&#8221; and this manufacturers&#8217;  association shoots back that they are underestimating the costs.
