This post is about ambassadors as part of content creation and marketing campaigns in the service of sustainability.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1422\" style=\"width: 118px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-1422\" href=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/?attachment_id=1422\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1422\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1422\" title=\"Barry Heidt\" src=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/barry-small-ecuador.jpg\" alt=\"Barry Heidt\" width=\"108\" height=\"152\" \/><\/a><\/span><p id=\"caption-attachment-1422\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Barry<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Barry Heidt, Ambassador<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oregonian <a title=\"Barry Heidt\" href=\"http:\/\/www.barryheidt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Barry Heidt<\/a>, videographer and sustainability advocate, became an ambassador for Puralytics&#8217; SolarBag when he carried one with him on his recent journey to the Achuar Terrritory deep within the Amazon forest of Ecuador.<\/p>\n<p>He was on his way to Ecuador as part of an online video campaign, <em>Ecuadorian Wisdom Keepers<\/em>, co-sponsored by Barry\u2019s organization, <a rel=\"attachment wp-att-1423\" href=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/?attachment_id=1423\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1423\" title=\"Logo FP small\" src=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Logo-FP-small.png\" alt=\"Logo FP small\" width=\"108\" height=\"122\" \/><\/a><a title=\"Sustainablity Action Media SAM\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainabilityadoption.com\/Content_Creation.html\" target=\"_blank\">Sustainability Action Media <\/a>(SAM) with <a title=\"Didier Lacaze\" href=\"http:\/\/www.earthsayers.com\/special_collection\/Sacha_Warmi_Center_and_The_Rights_of_Nature_by_Didier_Lacaze\/66\/24497\" target=\"_blank\">EarthSayers.tv<\/a>, voices of sustainability and with the help of the <a title=\"fundacion pachamama\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pachamama.org\/advocacy\/fundacion-pachamama\" target=\"_blank\">Fundacion Pachamama<\/a> folks in Ecuador.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Oil Over Water<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Barry knew of Ecuador\u2019s reliance on bottled water and the negative impact on water supplies from the releasing of toxins from oil <a rel=\"attachment wp-att-1428\" href=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/?attachment_id=1428\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1428\" title=\"water bottles\" src=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/water-bottles-224x300.jpg\" alt=\"water bottles\" width=\"90\" height=\"121\" srcset=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/water-bottles-224x300.jpg 224w, https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/water-bottles.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 90px) 100vw, 90px\" \/><\/a>drilling into local rivers and the contamination of underground water from oil spills.\u00a0 It was part of the reason he was going to Ecuador to interview indigenous community leaders around the Rights of Nature movement. \u00a0Shortly before he left, he heard about the SolarBag and called George Jendrzejewski, VP of Sales for Puralytics.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-1425\" href=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/?attachment_id=1425\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1425 alignright\" title=\"productOverviewSolarBag\" src=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/productOverviewSolarBag.jpg\" alt=\"productOverviewSolarBag\" width=\"103\" height=\"133\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">The Technology<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a title=\"SolarBag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.puralytics.com\/html\/solarBagNGO.php\" target=\"_blank\">SolarBag <\/a>is a purification, transport, and storage system for use with unclean water. Without using chemicals, consumables, or power, the SolarBag is able to remove microorganisms, organic contaminants, and heavy metals from water making it safe to drink. It can be used over and over again. Didier can help\u00a0 Domingo and other interested community leaders take the product from interest to implementation with the help of NGO\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Sustainability and NGO Programs<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Barry at the same time he is advancing the indigenous voices of sustainability also le<a rel=\"attachment wp-att-1424\" href=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/?attachment_id=1424\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1424\" title=\"solarBagonback\" src=\"https:\/\/earthsayers.tv\/sustainabilityadvocate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/solarBagonback.png\" alt=\"solarBagonback\" width=\"136\" height=\"102\" \/><\/a>verages Puralytics&#8217; commitment to sustainability and programs they already have in place for the SolarBag 3L which is part of their NGO program to provide \u201cclean water for the developing world.\u201d For one such program with \u00a0<a title=\"Good Samaritan Ministeries\" href=\"http:\/\/goodsamaritanministries.org\/gsm-international\/http:\/\/\" target=\"_blank\">Good Samaritan Ministries<\/a>, which like <a title=\"Puralytics\" href=\"http:\/\/www.puralytics.com\/html\/company.php\" target=\"_blank\">Puralytics<\/a> is headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, the SolarBag is making a big difference in four Malawi, African communities (view <a title=\"Puralytics\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=B29pb9mnLZs\" target=\"_blank\">video<\/a>) where Good Samaritan has a field presence, a key to implementation. This is but one example of Puralytics&#8217; NGO programs.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>More Sustainability Ambassadors Programs <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We see Barry&#8217;s experience as an ambassador a good model for what we would like to do in the future when SAM and EarthSayers.tv team up to create online video content around the indigenous voices of sustainability. It compliments NGO programs already in place and can be used to increase awareness of important technologies in the developing world.
