Jerry Honawa is a member of the Hopi tribe, a retired educator, village elder, and a life-long farmer and cultural advisor. In this video he talks about the Hopi Prophesies and offers some advice on how to accept what is happening and going to happen. He lives and farms in Hotevilla, one of the original Hopi villages, situated in the high desert country of what is now northern Arizona. He is the Cultural Advisor to the Board of Directors of the Black Mesa Trust and will speak at the SEED Insitute Conference in September, 2012.

July 27, 2012 SEED Institute It is with great sadness that we have learned that Grandfather/Maestro Tlakaelel (Francisco Jimenez Sanchez), Mexica-Tolteca Elder, teacher, guide and guardian of the oral tradition, has passed into the next world. Tlakaelel lived into his 90s and spent his life learning, teaching, and honoring ancient and oral traditions. He shared his knowledge with Indigenous and non-indigenous people alike. We are grateful beyond measure for Tlakaelel’s life and legacy and will honor him during the upcoming Wisdom from the Origins Conference, September 13-17, 2012, in Albuquerque, NM.
